You’ve heard the saying, “you’re only as old as your attitude.” Well, David is about to prove that turning 50 doesn’t mean he’s over the hill but rather on top of it. He realized at this major life milestone, there’s a choice to make: toss in the towel, surrender to the inevitable and accept as fate the age-enhanced meltdown, or bring out the big guns and prove that the fountain of youth is within those that believe otherwise.

So to mark the occasion, David is celebrating by doing what he loves to do—running. It’s 50 for 50! He’s going to run 50 miles on his birthday on January 26, 2008. This event is not only designed to bust the aging myth but also to raise money for Hands of Hope, a non-profit organization providing medical care, hope and help to residents of rural Guatemalan villages.

We encourage you to join in the celebration in one or more ways and have created this site to help you do just that.
